Happy Star Wars Day!
May the Fourth Be With You
Luke Skywalker was a solopreneur.
"What?" you say, "He was part of the Rebel Alliance. That was a huge organization." Well, Luke worked with them. They helped each other. But their goals were not the same.
The Rebels wanted to end the Empire's rule. On the other hand, Luke aspired to leave his boring home planet and find adventure. But he learned that to achieve his goal, he had to work with others whose goals were different but aligned. And in this process, he grew into an entirely different life than he initially imagined, with people who became family and continued helping each other.
Smart solopreneurs know this too. It's great to be solo, but not so great to be alone. Finding others, whether solopreneurs, contractors, coaches, freelancers, and even companies, can make a huge difference in your effectiveness as a solopreneur. And like Luke, the result can be relationships that make everything better than you could have possibly imagined.
When I started LifeStarr, I had no idea that I'd end up focusing on solopreneurs. And when I focused on solopreneurs, I had no idea how thoroughly awesome the people that I would meet would be.
But here I am, and I am VERY happy about it.
