April 18th: Embracing Discomfort in Marketing
Let's face it, marketing isn't easy...
Marketing, for many solopreneurs, often feels like navigating uncharted waters. Heck, my entire career has been in marketing and sometimes I feel like I don’t have a clue what I’m doing!
The constant pressure to promote oneself while juggling countless other responsibilities can be overwhelming, especially since marketing trends seem to be changing constantly.
It's no surprise that many of us find ourselves feeling uncomfortable, even downright anxious, when it comes to marketing and lead generation for our own businesses.
However, amidst the discomfort lies an opportunity for growth, learning, and ultimately mastery (yes, it’s possible).
It's essential to acknowledge that discomfort is a natural part of the process. Just like any skill worth mastering, becoming proficient in marketing takes time, practice, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones.
Rather than viewing marketing as a necessary evil, we can reframe it as an exciting challenge—a chance to connect with our audience authentically and share our passion with the world.
Solo together,
Carly Ries

But I have to say, my favorite part, by far, is developing relationships with fellow solopreneurs during Office Hours. Dare I even call them my friends now?
These one-hour calls have become true game-changers, not only for attendees but for us as well. The things we accomplish, the laughs, the connections, and the solutions we come up with are true motivators, and I always leave with a smile on my face.
One of the members said these office hours alone are worth the $50/month.
I don't want to turn this into a sales pitch, but the truth is, if you're not attending these, you're missing out (biased, yes, but true nonetheless).
Hope to see you in an upcoming Office Hours soon :)
